Activities to balance first Chakra

  • Slow down
  • Spend time alone in your own energy
  • Digital Detox
  • Eat without distraction
  • Practice stillness
  • Somatic movement- qi gong, yoga
  • Dance
  • Mountain pose for 10 minutes
  • Walk in nature; be on the earth
 
Journal prompts:
 

1) Where do you numb out or escape? What are you escaping from?

2) If all your needs were met, if you felt absolutely secure in yourself, and if you knew that what your mind was worried about was taken care of, what would you create? What would you do? Who would you be?

Activities for implementation and integration:

The goal of this week is to bring more pleasure into your daily life examples)

  • Create a nightly or morning container to rub aromatic body oil onto your body after a shower
  • Take a salt bath
  • Dress in a boa
  • Self-pleasure
  • Do anything that allows you to use your senses and makes you feel radiant and turned on.
  • Take yourself on a date!

1) How does the woman of your dreams (i.e. future self) relate to her desires? What is her relationship to her pleasure? How does she express her emotions?

3) How can I show up differently that’s in alignment with my truth?

Activities for implementation and integration:

Emotion release: create a 10-15 minute container for yourself. Put on sad music. See what comes up for you. Let yourself cry if needed.

Find ways to build intimacy with yourself:

  • Give yourself a hug/do a containment exercise.
  • Write in your journal and reflect.
  • Spend time alone.
  • Write letters to yourself.
  • Talk to yourself.
  • Dialogue between mind and body.

1) What's one way you love yourself well?

2) What about you is easy to love?

3) Is there anything in your life that you’re doing or hanging onto that doesn’t quite feel right? If you truly loved yourself, would you allow this thing to stay (job, relationships, responsibilities, behaviors, habits)?

4) If you were to truly believe in every cell of your body that you are the dynamic, radiant, worthy, beautiful, intelligent, confident, self-assured woman that you are, who speaks her truth with love, knows her boundaries and lives from an open heart, what in your life would change?

Play!!  Do something creative. 

  • Put music on and dance.
  • Paint.
  • Color.
  • Rearrange the furniture.
  • Cook with flavors and colors.

1) Can you think of a time when you were silenced or felt unsafe speaking your true opinion? What did this feel like in your body? What happened?

2) How comfortable do you feel nowadays with fully expressing yourself in all settings?

3) Are there certain emotions, wants or needs that you’re uncomfortable communicating out loud? What are they?
